Club Penguin Igloo Music Button

ALERT: WE HAVE MOVED TO http://codingmassacre.com!!

Please note I’m going to try and get these button tweaks I make into plugins so it’s easier to install!

Code Last Updated – July 28, 2011. Latest Version 1.0.1

Change Log:

1.0: Initial Code
1.0.1: Fixed incorrect coding causing the button to not work

About a month ago I had the idea of recreating something similar to Club Penguin’s Igloo Music Button, where you pick a song and it plays, with the option to mute it. After quite a few painstaking hours on trying to get the code to be perfect, I managed to get it to my liking. You can view it in action here. Here is the code that goes in the <head> tag. To place this in Atahualpa you would go to Add HTML/CSS Inserts > HTML Inserts: Header.

After that put this code in the section. To place this in Atahualpa you would go to Add HTML/CSS Inserts > HTML Inserts: Bottom Bottom.

Enjoy! Hopefully I can get the WordPress Plugins up and running soon!

Club Penguin Adventure Party 2011 Button

ALERT: WE HAVE MOVED TO http://codingmassacre.com!!

Code Last Updated – July 13, 2011. Latest Version 1.0.

Change Log:

1.0: Initial Code

Some of you probably remember my post with the Music Jam 2011 Button, as made by me for my website. I decided I was going to do some sort of button each month. I recently made one for the upcoming Adventure Party 2011, so here it is with instructions on how to embed it. Please note the only WordPress Theme this has been tested on is Atahualpa.

This is what it looks like normal:

When you roll your mouse over it, it’ll change to this:

Not only does the image change, but it’ll play Club Penguin Adventure Party music! This is the music is plays. As soon as you take your mouse off of the image it will stop playing. Just like my Music Jam Button it is positioned in the bottom right corner of the screen.

Anyway, this code goes in the <head> tag. To place this in Atahualpa you would go to Add HTML/CSS Inserts > HTML Inserts: Header.

<script language=”javascript” type=”text/javascript”>

function playSound(soundfile)

{

document.getElementById(“adventure”).innerHTML=

http://+soundfile+“;

}

</script>

This code goes in the <body> section. To place this in Atahualpa you would go to Add HTML/CSS Inserts > HTML Inserts: Bottom Bottom.

<span id=”adventure”></span>

<p onmouseover=”playSound(‘http://clubpenguinmemories.com/268.swf&#8217;)” onmouseout=”playSound(”);”>

<img src=”http://clubpenguinmemories.com/adventure1.png” onmouseover=”this.src=’http://clubpenguinmemories.com/adventure2.png'&#8221; onmouseout=”this.src=’http://clubpenguinmemories.com/adventure1.png'&#8221;;
style=”position:fixed;
float:right;
right:0px;
bottom:0px; “></p>

Stop Sound OnMouseOff With HTML & Javascript

ALERT: WE HAVE MOVED TO http://codingmassacre.com/!!

A week or two ago I was working with some code that when you roll a mouse over an image, and when you roll the mouse off of the image the sound stops. However, I was having quite a bit of difficulty with figuring out how to make it work, and Google was no help. Once the necessary code is in the <head> tag, add the following to the body:

<p onmouseover=”playSound(‘http://clubpenguinmemories.com/268.swf&#8217;)” onmouseout=”playSound(”);”>

After that you would add the image code. Reference this post on how to combine it with images. Anywho, looking at the code you can see that on the mouse over it’ll play the sound, 268.swf. In the (”) you’d simply put your own sound between the ”. Then you add onmouseout and trick it into playing no sound. As far as I am aware there is no “stopsound(”);” command. If you need any help implimenting code simply comment below.
